On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, on Saturday, August 21, at 2 pm, actors of theIvan Franko Academic Drama Theater of Ivano-Frankivskwill perform the play "Eneida" based on the legendary poem of the same name by Ivan Kotlyarevsky.
According to the plan of the initiators of the special project "Theatrical Singing at the Observatory", the "Eneida" of this jubilee year for our country was chosen because its interpretation by the famous Ukrainian director Rostyslav Derzhypilsky represents the idea of the birth of the nation.
After all, a nation is formed together through laughter, love, adventure, and also hardened by military trials.
The performance "Eneida", which will be played on top of the mountain by actors - mostly graduates and students of the Institute of Arts of the Precarpathian National University, is full of folk music and favorite songs.
It is a large-scale, powerful and dynamic action in which events unfold from a carefree merry comedy to a great modern drama. Genre - extravaganza-burlesque.
Through humor and irony, exquisite carnival, through the pure colors of this stage species, the viewer will see "another" Kotlyarevsky - the author-prophet, who foresaw for the born Ukrainian nation and serious trials and the process of tempering.
In this story, each viewer will recognize himself and feels the tension of our dramatic present.
During a press conference on Wednesday, August 18, the head of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater Rostyslav Derzhypilsky called this event "another extraordinary event in the life of the theater":
