After eight hours of searches the rescuers of the station, at the Observatory, found the tourist died the day before in the mountains.
The administration of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine informed the website Bilyi Slon the following, the tragedy occurred during the ascent to the top of three tourists from Transcarpathia. On March 17, they moved towards Pope Ivan from the side of the city of Rakhiv and lost their way.On March, 19 at 12:45 pm the searches of the Yavirnytske search and rescue department of the specialized search and rescue group of the emergency rescue unit of the special forces of the department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, consisting of 2 people, helped the workers of the Rakhiv mountain search and rescue department of the emergency rescue detachment of a special purpose Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region (5 people and 1technical unit) to search for missing tourists.At 16:46 on the Hropa hill the workers of the Yavirnytske search and rescue department found one of the tourists, a resident of the city of Uzhhorod. According to his words, their group was divided and one of the men, 34-year-old also a resident of Uzhgorod, died somewhere approximately between the Hropa hill and the mountain Vykhid. The third tourist, a resident of Ternopil, has descended and stopped at the local residents.Rescuers accompanied the injured tourist last night to the post of the permanent dislocation of the search and rescue department on mount Pip Ivan. The man was in a satisfactory condition, he did not need medical assistance.13 rescuers with the help of 3 technical units of Ivano-Frankivsk, Verkhovyna and Kosiv search and rescue departments were involved in the searching process. Rescuers from Ivano-Frankivsk found the body of the deceased tourist between the Hropa hill and the mountain Vykhid. He was transported to the foot area of the mountain Pohoriletsof Verkhovyna district. As it turned out, the tourists have strayed from the planned route due to difficult weather conditions. There was a fluctuating wind, snow, and zero visibility.
The descent was not very successful. Because the places there are complicated, the conquerors of the mountains fell into turtles, were unable to continue the movement and therefore had to spend several nights in the mountains in the open air.
The result of such irresponsible actions is the death of the tourist.
